Emma picked up Jonathan and took him in the other room, and I peeked around the corner and saw this sweetness!  I had to sneak a quick picture before Emma noticed me watching them :)

Basketball baby

Jonathan just received a basketball outfit as a gift, but it is a little big on him!  We put it on over a onesie because he just had to wear it before basketball season ended :)

Friday fun

There was a slim chance of snow showers for today, so I thought I needed to make a baby snowman and get a picture before he outgrows this outfit!!

This afternoon Emma set him up for story time, and he grabbed right onto the book!

Sweetness

Love these two!  Emma likes to cuddle on the couch before school each morning.  What a great way to start your day!

Oh and I had to come back and add - Jonathan slept over 6 hours last night!  Boy was I surprised when I looked at the clock when he woke up!  Wow.  I had been noticing a trend in the last week of 4 hours, sometimes 4.5....  I knew that 4 was great, and that he's starting to sleep in longer stretches.  Of course that will all change when he hits a growth spurt, but for today I was rejoicing!!

A quick morning photo before getting dressed!

Emma is such a good big sister!  She wants to help get Jonathan ready for the day.  This was a pretty funny sight - as she'd put one leg in his pants, he'd pull the other leg out!  It went back and forth a few times before he kept both of his legs in the pants for her :)  Just look at how he looks up at her!

Two month check up

This morning Jonathan had his two month well child visit.  All is well!  His stats are:

12 pounds even!
24" long
15" head circumference

He had vaccinations which he was NOT happy about, but he did really well.  He calmed down after a minute of snuggling.  I had a bottle ready, he ate and then promptly fell asleep!

Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day from the kiddos!

Due to a little sleepy boy this afternoon, I didn't attempt this photo until right before Emma went to bed, and right after Jonathan woke up from a nap.  He was ready to eat and did not want to sit still!!

His shirt says Love Bandit and has a raccoon face.  I think he's already stolen all of our hearts!

Two months old

So he was sitting up better in the chair, but still scooting down a bit to where I couldn't see the full "2 months" sticker on his belly!  I can't pick just one pose :)

Daddy came in and made him smile, that's who he's looking at off in the distance!

Raspberries

Now that Jonathan has started smiling and *almost* laughing in response to us, Emma loves to do what she can to get a reaction!

She came in this morning to blow raspberries on his tummy after he got his diaper changed (certainly not before!).  We were getting ready for her basketball game!

They adore each other.  I can't handle the cuteness!!

Pajama day

Emma's class earned a pajama/stuffed animal/popcorn movie party (phew!).  Here she is in her Lego Batman pjs with Bananas, who came to school with her today.  He was dressed as Batman, but she took him out of his costume already!

8 weeks old!

Jonathan is 8 weeks old today!  He is growing like a weed and some of the 3 months clothes are getting snug!  I have weighed him by stepping on the scale with and without him, and I get 11.5 pounds each time.  Now, I presume he's something under 11.5, but I still can't fathom that he's 11 pounds!  Wow.

He is starting to smile a little bit!  I'm waiting for that big belly laugh - I think he's close :)

It's puzzling

Today is Super Bowl Sunday, but when you're a baby you don't care all that much.  Here is Jonathan helping Emma and Grammy do a cat puzzle!

Bedtime buddies

Tonight I was about to take Jonathan upstairs to put in bed, and Emma said "Wait!  I want a goodnight picture!"  She likes to say goodnight to him every night and if she misses it, she's a little sad.  So sweet!
