Emma called this one Monday snuggles. As soon as we got home from school, she took him out of his carseat and pulled him onto the couch with her :) She sure loves her little dollbaby!
Every year, the school gets to go to OMSI (science museum) for free on a Monday night (when they are only open for private events). It's fun to go play for free and see your friends!
Daddy wore Jonathan, who slept the whole time!
Here's Ed and Emma in front of the thermal detection screen! You can even see the baby in there :)

A boy and his dog
Zoe is still very curious about Jonathan, and will come kiss and lick him when she has the chance!
When I shoo her away from getting in his face, she usually just lays down next to us. She always wants to be in the same room!

Cuteness
My morning started off with this sleeping smile. Thankfully I had my phone handy and was able to snap a photo right as he drifted off to sleep!
As soon as we got home from picking Emma up from school, she scooped up a sleeping little man to snuggle with on the couch :) He sure seemed to be downright cozy with Sissy!!

6 week old cub!
Today I brought Jonathan up to Emma's school, which I also worked at up until 6 weeks ago! I dressed him in this adorable tiger outfit that a co-worker had given us (school mascot!). He was a hit! We stayed through four lunch periods and the kids just swarmed us. I had to beat them back with a stick (ha!) - no, not really. I asked them to sit down and I walked around the cafeteria so they could all see him! Next time we go for lunch with Emma, we'll have to actually sit down with her! She was very proud to show her little brother off.
Super blurry, but you can see the little tiger on the butt!

Wednesday weigh in
Today we were at the doctor's office for my labs, so I took Jonathan upstairs to the pediatrician's office to get a quick weight check.
I about fell out of the chair - 9 pounds, 10 ounces! No wonder the newborn diapers weren't fitting anymore!! Wow, what a healthy boy :)

Five weeks old
Today marks five weeks since Mr. Jonathan arrived - hooray!
These two pictures really make me want to Photoshop him as a superhero or something, flying and jumping!
Emma and Daddy have been teaching him how to punch - look out!
Pulling Sissy's hair. I told her they reminded me of the Two Stooges!

One MONTH old!!
Hey, how did we get to one month old already?!
This morning Emma wanted to try feeding Jonathan his bottle (yes, another snow day!). She did great! He was so comfortable that he chugged and chugged and nearly finished his whole bottle in one stop - something he doesn't usually do for me!
Then they played on the floor for a little bit. I love how he's looking at her!
Then it was time for one month old pictures! We tried to pick out an outfit that would let the sticker do the talking. Emma and I laughed at how much of a little business man he looked like in this polo!
Some poses with "Big Sis"!

Winter Wonderland
Wow. It started snowing yesterday afternoon, and it did not let up all night! It stopped snowing around lunchtime, but the scene was set and we got over 6" of snow.
Emma played outside for hours today with the neighbor kids. I would only see her when she needed a snack, the restroom, or to swap out her gloves for a dry pair!

Zoe has never been bothered by the snow on her belly! Emma had cleared a nice pathway for her to the grass, but instead she tromped through the thick snow!

Some of our fruit trees in the backyard broke from the weight of all that snow. We'll have a lot of branches to deal with when things thaw!
Measuring the snowfall. Emma learned metric measurements last year in school, so she was looking to see how many centimeters we got!

4 weeks old!
Today Jonathan is four weeks old! It doesn't seem possible, but time has really flown by since he was born. I think the mix of school break, the holidays, and snow days have added to that perception.
I tried to get his weight at the doctor's office today while I was there for a blood test, but they were so busy and one nurse told me that due to his age it had to be done by an RN! Interesting. It's just putting him on a scale! Oh well, I go back next week and we will try it again!
Tonight we headed to The Old Spaghetti Factory for a fundraiser for Emma's school. It started snowing this afternoon, and by the time we headed out it was coming down quite a bit! We weren't going that far and the roads were flat the whole way, so it didn't stop us. It was a worthwhile trip - yum!
Then we hung out in Emma's room when we got home. She introduced him to Bunny, who was her first Build a Bear animal that she built and a present from cousin Miranda when she was 3 (http://emmatoday.blogspot.com/2010/12/its-off-to-see-santa-we-go.html)! We wonder what animal Jonathan will "build" when he's old enough :)

Snowy Saturday!
A couple of pictures that Emma took of Jonathan started the day. She titled them "two best pals together" and "being cozy!"
I showed Emma this picture of her with the giant pacifier in the NICU when she was just a month old!
It snowed today! It started light and then the flakes got bigger and started sticking. Emma got her snow clothes and toys, and went out to play with the neighbors!

Jonathan couldn't go out and play in the snow, so I built a snowman with him instead :)

Then... it was time for the Seahawks game. It's playoff time - and we won! Emma wanted to get in on the picture in her Seahawks gear, but she was too busy building a snow fort. Next Saturday!

Weigh in
I had to stop at the doctor's office for a blood test today, and a nurse had previously told us that we could stop in at any time to get Jonathan's weight checked. So, I thought - why not?!
He weighed in at 8 pounds, 1 ounce! If he were born on Tuesday (due date), he would have been just about an 8 pound baby :)

3 weeks old!
Today Jonathan is three weeks old. How did that happen so fast? Today is also his actual due date!
We did some tummy time today while the sun shone through the windows. Despite the freezing cold temperatures outside, we were very cozy!

Building those neck muscles already!

I also remembered I meant to do a stocking photo of him like I did at Emma's first Christmas.

Some day the kids are really going to shake their heads at me...!!
